Study and examination of Pulse according to Sage Kanada
Author: K. R. L. Gupta
The original title of this work was Science of sphygmica or sage Kaṇāda on pulse, which was modified here to avoid the term sphygmica or the modern term sphygmology.
Pulse diagnosis is a diagnostic technique used to assess internal conditions. It was part of the premodern Western medical models and is still used in 'traditional' Asian medical systems. Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, traditional Mongolian medicine, Siddha medicine, traditional Tibetan medicine, and Unani.
This study covers the description of the Pulses, timing of examination, pulse frequencies, fever-related conditions and other types of examinations.

The Hindu conception of the functions of breath
Author: Arthur H. Ewing
This essay explores the origin and estimates the values of the Hindu explanations and definitions of the series of terms comprising Prana or vital breaths. It provides a rare analysis of the question of proper interpretation and translation of the various terms. As such, it is a fundamental work for all those seeking a deeper understanding of the concepts pertaining to psycho-physiology as understood in Hindu texts.

Yoga sutras of Patanjali with The Jewel's Lustre
Author: J. H. Woods
Among the numerous translations of the Aphorisms of Patanjali, what differentiates this work is the inclusion of the Jewel lustre, Maniprabha, a commentary written by Ramananda-sarasvati in the 16th or early 17th century. The commentary reflects an evolution in the analysis of Patanjali’ Yoga Sutras placing the attention on the mental rather than moral, analytical rather than spiritual processes. As the name suggests, the thought reflects a clear lucidity of interpretation and deserves the attention of all students of Indian thought in general and yoga specifically.
